Re-unification of school children and re-population following a large-scale evacuation.

Mon, January 8, 2018

Monday, January 8, 7pm, Orinda Library Garden Room

Have you ever wondered how law enforcement plans to bring families back into neighborhoods following a major fire? How about how we plan to re-unite families following a tragic event such as an Active Shooter on Campus? Over the last few years, we have seen significant efforts to understand the various phases of an emergency and how those phases can be managed better. Specifically, research has shown that communities who are rehearsed in the reunification and repopulation phases of Emergency Management more efficiently move into the recovery phase. During this program you’ll learn how this will be done and CERT members will receive certification to provide assistance to our Lamorinda Agencies. Presentation by Chief Eric Christenson, Lafayette Police Department. RSVP here.
