Shawnette Sulker, has been acclaimed for her “heartbreaking poignancy” and“beautifully tuned soprano” by the San Francisco Chronicle, returns to do hersecond Messiah with PCO. Lisa Chavez, mezzo soprano, has been reviewedas a “plush storm of a voice” with a “graceful stage presence” who sang a“poignant, full throated Dinah” (Bernstein’s “Trouble in Tahiti”, San FranciscoChronicle).
Michael Boley, popularwith audiences and critics alike, has been praised for his “meaty tenor” and“vibrant, dramatically alert performances” (San Jose Mercury News).EugeneBrancoveanu, bass, has appeared with the Philadelphia Orchestra, New World Symphony, and New York Philharmonic, in the premier ofMichael Tilson Thomas’ “The Thomashefskys”, conducted by MTT. He has starred inand directed Livermore Valley Opera productions and often performs at Operain the Vineyard.
