This popular annual event, hosted by JMLT in partnership with the Mt. Diablo Astronomical Society, offers something for everyone! The evening will begin with a walking tour of the property at 5:30 p.m., followed by ice cream sandwiches and hot chocolate, a presentation for kids of all ages, and views of the stars through the Astronomical Society’s amazing telescopes. Child-friendly materials and a demonstration on how to use the binoculars and equipment will be included.
This evening promises great views of a full moon, Saturn and its ring system, and the Andromeda Galaxy some 2.3 million light years away.
JMLT Stargazing Event is open to the public, free of charge and ADA accessible. To ensure comfortable viewing, guests should bring a blanket and/or chair and flashlight. Budding and experienced photographers alike are encouraged to bring a camera to capture the evening beauty of Fernandez Ranch. Your photograph may be selected for JMLT’s website!
