CONTRACOSTA ELECTIONS DIVISION HOSTS PHOTO CONTEST FOR
The Contra Costa County Elections Division is kicking off the yearin a fun, unique way. The office is holding its second biannual photo contestfor county residents, and the grand prize winner will be featured on the coverof the November 2018 Voter Information Guide, which goes out to over 600,000registered voters in Contra Costa County. The contest theme is "Service inContra Costa County."
"The Photo Contest is a fun way to get our residents involvedin the election process and pique their interest in voting," Registrar ofVoters Joe Canciamilla said. "It's also a great way to highlight thetalent of our residents."
The contest is open now and submissions are due by midnight onFebruary 28, 2018. The photos must be submitted digitally along with adescription of no more than 75 words. They should be sent in tiff or jpegformat. There is no entry fee.
The Elections Division held the first photo contest in 2016,receiving almost 50 entries from residents. Some of those submissions arefeatured on the Contra Costa Elections website, www.cocovote.us.
