You have the powerful opportunity to impact the life of a vulnerable child when you volunteer with CASA of Contra Costa County. CASA volunteers may be the only reliable and stable presence in a child’s life to help encourage, support and motivate them to keep going.
Fact: Only 48% of foster children graduate from high school.
Fact: Last year, 100% of CASA’s transitional age youth graduated from high school, earned a GED or were still in school.
Fact: Only 10% of foster children with a high school degree or GED go to college or post-secondary education.
Fact: Last year, 67% of CASA’s youth with a high school degree or GED were in college or post-secondary education.
